TrackDay — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 16 June 2026 Provided by: ImpactOps (impactops.co.uk) Contact: [email protected]
TrackDay is a running app that controls FTMS-compatible treadmills and records your workouts. This policy explains what data the app handles, what stays on your device, and what is transmitted only when you choose to use an optional feature.
We do not require an account, we do not show ads, we do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data with data brokers.
Data stored on your device
By default, everything TrackDay creates stays on your device:
- Workouts and runs — the sessions you build or import and the runs you record (time, speed, incline, distance, and any heart-rate, cadence, or power recorded from connected sensors).
- Profile and settings — the thresholds, units, display preferences, and optional email address you enter in Settings.
This data is held in a local database on your device. Deleting the app removes it.
Bluetooth sensors
TrackDay connects over Bluetooth to your treadmill and, optionally, to a heart-rate strap and a running power pod, in order to run your workout and record it. Sensor readings are processed on your device. TrackDay does not use Bluetooth to identify your location or to scan for anything other than supported fitness equipment.
Optional features that transmit data
These features are off until you turn them on. Nothing below happens unless you take the corresponding action.
Email a copy of a run
If you enter an email address in Settings and enable run export, then when a run finishes TrackDay sends that run’s workout file (in TCX format) and your email address to our export service (operated by us on Cloudflare). The service stores the file temporarily and emails you a private download link. The download link expires after 7 days. Your email address is used only to deliver this link and to organise stored files; it is not used for marketing.
Upload runs to Strava
If you connect your Strava account, TrackDay uploads completed runs to Strava on your behalf, under your own Strava account. This sends your run data to Strava and is governed by Strava’s own privacy policy. You can disconnect Strava at any time; the connection token is stored on your device.
Connect (Garmin)
Where supported and enabled by you, connecting a third-party account sends data to that provider under your own account, governed by that provider’s privacy policy.
Location
TrackDay does not collect your geographic location. Treadmill runs have no GPS. If you import a GPX route, the route file is used on your device to build the workout and draw the in-run map; it is not transmitted by the app.
Health data
TrackDay reads heart rate and related metrics directly from Bluetooth sensors you connect. TrackDay does not read from or write to Apple Health.
Children
TrackDay is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
- On-device data persists until you delete it or remove the app.
- Files sent to the email-export service are retained only as long as needed to deliver them, and the download link expires after 7 days.
- To request deletion of any data associated with the export service, contact [email protected].
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
